Who is M Williams:
Military brat. Preachers kid. Too tall girl forced into basketball submission. BUT I got a full ride, played in the sweet-sixteen, went to Turkey and France and got to call myself a professional player. Moved to NYC. Was a secretary, a saleslady, a waitress...THEN an environmental activist, life coach and yoga teacher. Always an idealist. And all the while, I'm dancing my ass off and finally give into my ART. I made 19 long, short, dance theater, site-specific, mixed media dance works. Performed with a few. Made a dance film. I was hooked. Now I'm finishing up at CALARTs, mastering my MFA in film directing. The rest is being written right now.
